A Queen Margrethe officially stepped down from the throne at her home, on January 14.
B The Queen had been on the throne for 83 years before abdicating.
C The Danish people were not allowed to see any part of the coronation ceremony.
D Following the abdication announcement on the New Year, lots of people went to Copenhagen “to witness history.”
E The Queen had previously said she would reign until her death, so the Danish people were really upset by the abdication announcement.
